Al-Battar Media Foundation, the leading pro-Islamic State (IS) jihadi media group, published a message from prominent jihadist M. Gharib al-Ikhwan challenging France to fight the IS in the wake of the Paris attacks.
In the message, which was posted on Twitter, Telegram, and the Deep Web jihadi forum Shumukh al-Islam on November 14, 2015, Ikhwan praised the Paris attacks and lauded the IS for having made a lasting impression on the enemy, making them realize that “there is no killing after today in the Ummah of Islam without the vengeance being fast, decisive, and horrific”. He noted that the deadly operation came soon after the downing of the Russian airliner in Sinai, and the bombings in Beirut.
Ikhwan told France to prepare its military machine that “has for tens of years been unable to defeat us,” and challenged:
“Did you not understand the equation yet: the more your intervention, the more your criminality since invading Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iraq, then the more power we have until we became a Caliphate that invades you in your homeland, and not just any Caliphate, but a Caliphate that has taken the hearts of millions of Muslims, so that every one of them is a time bomb that will blow up on you sooner or later. So if you wish for the destruction of your homes, your economy, and your security, then here is our homeland welcoming the entry of your armies and fleets. Kill from us a thousand and a million will come out in vengeance”.
Following is a translation of the message:
We are the Ummah of Islam who Did It
In the name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. And thereafter:
“As for 'Ad, they were arrogant in the land without right, and they said: "Who is mightier than us in strength?" See they not that Allah, Who created them was mightier in strength than them. And they used to deny Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.)!” [Fussilat: 15]
Unto You is the goodness and thanks alone, You the Creator of everything, who said: “And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers”. [From An-Nisa’: 141] Your promise was true in the blessed Paris operations.
We no longer care much if the Islamic State did the Paris operation or someone else, for the State is not the Ummah and the home of its Islam, but the Ummah is the State and its material. So may Allah bless those pure wrists that executed the Paris operations, and fulfilled the oath to our master Caliph Ibrahim - may Allah lengthen his dignity - the day he said: We will have vengeance, by Allah.
After the Paris operations, the State of the Caliphate turned a page of the pages of the past in a lasting way, for there is no killing after today in the Ummah of Islam without the vengeance being fast, decisive, and horrific. In just a few days the Islamic Ummah took its revenge against the Russians in Sinai Province, and against the Rawafidh [Shi’ites] in Lebanon, and against France in Paris, and against America in the training center of the disbelieving agents in Jordan.
By Allah, we will have vengeance. By Allah… by Allah, we will have vengeance. Do you think that the rockets that France dropped on Iraq or that its old criminality in Algeria are to be forgotten?! No, by Allah, they will not be forgotten.
This is who we are, o nation of disbelief: we are an Ummah chosen by Allah to bear His message to mankind, and it was not a choice that was taken in vain; rather, we made his anger upon you and those who were lacking in manners regarding Him. Allah sent us with mercy to the Wolds if they submit to Allah, their Creator and were peaceful and peacemaking. But if they were disbelievers and attacked and killed, then we are their awaited hell, as you saw yesterday in Paris and before it upon the Russian plane.
Sheikh Usama bin Laden - may Allah have mercy on him - offered you a truce ten years ago, that you leave us alone and we will leave you alone, and you leave us to establish our Caliphate on the remains of your agents. However, you insisted on the thing whose men we are - war - so it has come to you. Taste what your hands have done in Paris, for we have children just as you have children, and you have innocents just as we have innocents. Eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth, and he who began is worse.

The Paris operations are just one bead of the rosary and it has broken, so fortify yourselves for what is coming.
You only have Islam or Jizyah [head tax on non-Muslims in an Islamic state] or death, which perhaps you will delay with a truce in which you leave our homes, and do not interfere in our affairs; otherwise, Paris will ignite again.
I see you after the Paris operations talking about mercy and humanity, but you are the furthest people from it. Your bloody history bears witness that you were a plague upon humanity, using fake slogans with which you drug nations. You are the ones who made the native inhabitants of America destitute, and killed from the peoples in the First and Second World War tens of millions. So do not wail over Paris, for you are the Ummah of the Cross that dropped cluster bombs on Japan, and the ones that killed a million and a half people in Algeria. You are the source of evil and the warehouse of criminality. You were and are still killing Muslims for your economic interests. In your siege on Iraq, a million innocent children died, so what humanity are you talking about? And what manners do you have?
As for us, we are the Umma of Islam: we are the mercy given as a gift to humanity. We are justice. We are values and manners which will only show the loss of your shadow and evil on earth. The greatest injustice you practice on humanity is that of the polytheism against your Maker. You liberated yourself from His slavery to worship your interests and your temptations, and thus you ruined the land and the worshipers, dirtied the sky, and sullied the earth, and it is high time for it to be liberated from your evil: “Verily joining others in worship with Allah is a great Zulm (wrong) indeed”. So prepare what you can of the military machine that has for tens of years been unable to defeat us.

Do you think we fear your reactions to the Paris operations? No, we await it eagerly, for in it is your successive idiocy like that of Bush, who destroyed the economy of your country and its halo and so all the nations transgressed against it and were free of its bondage.
By Allah, we are awaiting that promised day, the day we defeat you and after which you will never get up. We gave you the choice of a truce with which you can preserve some of your existence, but you refused. So gather the armies, prepare the convoys, bring out the planes, raise the Cross, attack the apostates, crawl against us beneath your banners, and fulfill the prophecy of our Prophet Muhammad, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, whom you cursed and for whom we took revenge on you.
Here we are waiting for you and waiting for your death, so welcome to the battlefield that we want. Welcome to the place that Allah chose for us. Welcome to Dabiq.
