White Supremacists Distance Themselves From Austin Shootings

Following news that an individual attacked the Mexican consulate and Austin Police headquarters, white supremacist forum members distanced themselves from the attacks.

Stormfront users also feared that the media would attempt to tarnish the white supremacist movement with the shootings in the discussion thread “White Male Shot After Shooting And Fire Bombing Mexican Consulate.”  

Speaking to this fear, “Volodyamyr” posted: “I had a feeling it was a white man, and you can be sure the hostile aliens who really control the country are going to use this against US. Half cocked attacks on the part of an "angry white male" is a dream come true for any Jewish or darkie gun grabber and agent of genocide against whites. The putrid smell of a Zionist or Mexican false flag against whites and the U.S. Constitution hangs heavy in the air here.”

However, some contributors appeared to mock the shootings.  “MyKidRawks” wrote: “Obviously the man didn't put enough planning into it. What a waste.”

"Many, many rounds were fired in downtown Austin," Police Chief Art Acevedo told reporters Friday morning, estimating that more than 100 shots ricocheted through the area. Police described the suspect as a 50-year-old white male from Austin with a criminal history, but didn't immediately release his name. The gunman had been wearing a suspicious vest at the time he died, so a bomb squad was called in to determine whether he was carrying improvised explosive devices, Acevedo said.
