Pro-Hezbollah Forum Members Fear Spillover from Iraq Conflict

ISIS execution

Pro-Hezbollah forum members debated the effects of the crisis in Iraq and its potential spillover into Lebanon. In a thread entitled "The Danger That Has Struck Iraq Will Threaten the Neighboring Countries and Especially Lebanon," started on June 12, 2014, forum member Seraaj al-Janoob referred to Former Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnaan Mansour’s statement on the situation in Iraq, warning "of sleeper cells, and their support basins, that suddenly awaken to cause a destructive effect on the ground."

al-Janoob added, "it is high time to deal with these forces decisively before it is too late and the Iraqi scene repeats itself,” especially in Lebanon.

Instead of relying on Hezbollah, however, Seraaj al-Janoob advocated that all people should "gather under the banner of the Lebanese army to defend our borders.” Other members agreed. Faatima Ali Mazra'ani stated that the road to fortifying Lebanon is simple; the solution lies in the selection of a strong presidential candidate. Ahmad al-Janooby, a member with strong pro-Hezbollah views, asserted, "we have told you time and again, do not support those who support the Takfiris [Sunni extremists]! But you were stubborn... taste now the bitterness of fear and horror that I see in your words."

Seraaj al-Janoob, however, challenged Ahmad al-Janooby to debate instead of resorting to insults. Ahmad al-Janooby responded that the "region is going through a Takfir attack and killing and we are arguing who is right and who is wrong," and urged people to "wake up and fight the Takfiri creed before you find ISIS's [Islamic State of Iraq and Sham] knife on your necks."

[The Danger That Has Struck Iraq Will Threaten the Neighboring Countries and Especially Lebanon]

[Seraaj al-Janoob]

The former Foreign Minister 'Adnaan Mansour considered what happened in Mosul to be a catastrophic earthquake that hit Iraq. He noted that these events flipped the scales and created a new, dangerous stage that presented all the countries in the region, and the world, a large responsibility to face the danger that began to draw a nation that reaches, in the beginning, at the Levant. The looming danger to Iraq and Syria today, and to the security and stability of the two countries, will be threatened and will strike the neighboring countries, especially Lebanon. He said, "We had warned in the past, and still warn today, of sleeper cells, and their support basins, that suddenly awaken to cause a destructive effect on the ground. It is high time to deal with these forces decisively before it is too late and the Iraqi scene repeats itself, on more than one Arab field, suddenly with the flood of terrorism that will sweep everything away.”

It is high time to strike the alarm bells,,, and look closely at what is happening to the neighboring countries,,, We must protect ourselves and look to Lebanon's supreme interest before it is too late,,,, Before the Iraqi situation repeats itself in any nation,,, may Allah not allow it,,, we must awaken and gather under the banner of the Lebanese army to defend our borders,,, we the people in all of our segments be a shield for the nation and the army.

[Faatima Ali Mazra'ani]

There is fear from the mobilization of ISIS [Islamic State of Iraq and Sham] sleeper cells in Lebanon. The road map to fortifying Lebanon against ISIS and its fighters does not need much thought or philosophy: The strong candidate is available and known... let him be elected. And the suggestion of the Orthodox Meeting Law is still before the parliament, so let it be ratified.

[Seraaj al-Janoob]

Every side in Lebanon says (the strong candidate is available and known),,, as if we are sitting beside the sick man and telling him the medicine is available but we can't bring it to him,,, the important point is: when do we agree and elect this strong known person,,, and get to the shores of safety?

[Ahmad al-Janooby]

Cry, for crying will not help you at all,,,,,, we have told you time and again, do not support those who support the Takfiris! But you were stubborn... taste now the bitterness of fear and horror that I see in your words. You are a defeated people and will live the bitterness of defeat day and night, you will remain thus as long as you support the robbers of March 14th, who are the agents of Zionism.

[Seraaj al-Janoob]

What a perceptive person you are,,, how did you see this fear,,, the things you say are so strange (you are a defeated people and will live the bitterness of defeat day and night). I look at your words as if we are two peoples,,, the problem is that when we argue I respond to you with the contents of your words,,, but as for you, you come up with words and expressions that have no reality,,, and you will return a thousand years from now and repeat your words as they are.

[Ahmad al-Janooby]

Alright, the words of Mansour warns about the deterioration of the situation and warns us so as not to come to the situation that Syria or Iraq came to.

Who brought Syria and Iraq to what they are???

Is the Takfir in Iraq because of Hezbollah's intervention in Syria???

Is what is happening in Iraq because of the weapon of the Islamic resistance????

What you should do in this thread is thank Hezbollah and say "Now we understand why Hezbollah fought the Takfiris, because they have no religion and wish to plant sabotage wherever they land."

This is what your excellency should say, because Hezbollah is fighting side by side with the Syrian army against the hateful Salafi Takfiri creed. You should thank Hezbollah that it prevented ISIS from reaching Beirut, but what we see from you is mockery and attacking and stabbing and accusations that have no basis in truth. We told you repeatedly, Hezbollah's intervention in Syria was to save you from death because ISIS, if it rules, will chop all of your heads off, but you cannot understand unless ISIS enters Beirut and kills and slaughters. Then you will say that Hezbollah was right in fighting against the Takfir and Salafi infidel-branding. You are now in the throes of who is right and who is wrong, while the situation heads toward killing and slaughter. The region is going through a Takfir attack and killing and we are arguing who is right and who is wrong.

This is what annoys me about you.

I'm telling to you wake up and fight the Takfiri creed before you find ISIS's knife on your necks.
