Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Bombing Targeting Oil and Fuel Tankers in Balad and Abu Ghraib, and Assassinating a Member of al-Mahdi Army in Baghdad

The Victorious Army Group Claims Responsibility for Exploding an Oil Pipeline in al-Yusefiya and Bombing an American Convoy in Baghdad

 

The Victorious Army Group issued two communiqués today, December 23, 2005, claiming responsibility for exploding an oil pipeline in al-Adnanieh, in al-Yusefiua, which was used to “smuggle oil” and “financed the war against the Muslims,” and an attack in the area of al-Sheikh Omar in Baghdad, involving the detonation of an improvised explosive device (IED) on an American Humvee and armored vehicle.
