AQIM’s Uqba bin Nafi Battalion Claims Bombing on Tunisian Soldiers on Mount Ouargha

The Uqba bin Nafi Battalion, the Tunisian branch of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), claimed wounding Tunisian soldiers in an explosion on Mount Ouargha.

In a communique published on Telegram on April 8, 2017, the group reported that one day prior, fighters detonated a landmine on a group of soldiers, which resulting in inflicting them with injuries of varying severity.

Following is a translation of the message:

Detonating a Mine on a Group of Soldiers of the Tyrant in Tunisia

By the grace of Allah, a mine was detonated on a group of soldiers of the tyrant on Mount Ouargha in the area of al-Kef in northwestern Tunisia, yesterday, 10 Rajab 1438H, corresponding to 7 April 2017M. It led to injuries of varying degrees among them.

Allah is Great. Praise be to Allah…
