Abu Laith al-Libi, a slain al-Qaeda commander, is the subject of the third entry in the as-Sahab video series, “Winds of Paradise.”  Abu Laith, an al-Qaeda leader and official in the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), was killed in Pakistan in January 2008.

The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) [Al-Jama’a al-Islamiyyah al-Muqatilah Bi-Libya] issued a statement via al-Fajr Information Center to jihadist forums today, Wednesday, January 31, 2007, denying allegations by the regime of Libyan leader, Colonel Muammar al-Qaddafi, that the group is “on its way” to make peace and abandon its armed jihad.
