Three insurgent factions in Iraq, the Political Council for the Iraqi Resistance (PCIR), al-Mustafa Army, and Sa’ad bin Abi Waqqas Army, each issued responses on jihadist forums in regard to US President Barack Obama’s speech in Egypt on US-Muslim relations.

Al-Mustafa Army, a Sunni insurgent group in Iraq, recently made public its conflict with the Islamic State of Iraq, claiming the group has interfered in its work and threatened to kill a field commander and those who support them financially.

Statement from al-Qaeda in Iraq Claiming Responsibility for Blowing Up A Car Bomb in Bab al-Mu’adham

In a communiqué issued March 15, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq, the Jihad Organization in the Country of the Two Rivers, through official spokesman Abu Maysara al-Iraqi, claimed responsibility for a car bombing in the Bab al-Mu’adham district in northern Baghdad.
