The Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement, al-Qaeda’s (AQ) branch in Somalia, claimed eleven attacks in five regions of the country, targeting Somali, U.S., Ugandan, Kenyan, and police forces and capturing two towns in Bay.


Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) claimed credit for ambushing a vehicle carrying the Hajr district security director in Yemen's Hadramawt governorate, and also took responsibility for attacks on Security Belt Forces (SBF), Shabwani Elite, and Houthi fighters elsewhere in the country.
