The Islamic State's (IS) Khorasan Province took responsibility for the suicide bombing on army cadets outside a military academy in the Afghan capital, Kabul, one day after the Afghan Taliban claimed credit for the same attack.

Dr. Sami al-‘Aridi, a former Shariah official in the Syria-based Nusra Front (NF), continued to reveal the behind-the-scenes dispute over the group’s split from al-Qaeda (AQ) in the second and third installments of his series on the issue.

Pro-Islamic State (IS) Telegram channels and Twitter accounts distributed a message from an alleged Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) defector claiming that the IS stormed his group's positions in Hama in order to free captive women and children.
